With the V4 the front idler can be removed without opening the bottom!
The chains are stretched too much with the original compression springs. The drive gear can be overloaded and take damage.
With the weaker springs, the chain is less tensioned and relieve the gearbox.
Decisive for the spring force per way is not the length of the spring, but the wire diameter. The shortening of the original spring therefore brings no satisfactory solution.
